The Tuba And The Scavenger - (Tuba and Euphonium Cover) - Scott Sutherland Music

This video has been a dream in the making for a long time now. I had always known that Death Valley National Park in California was a filming location for my favorite movie of all time, Star Wars, but a few years ago I made a trip with my kids to find the exact locations in the park.

Fast forward to February 2021. My son and I went back to Golden Canyon along with a brilliant young filmmaker-friend (Raymond Olivarez) to film a story of a tuba-playing hiker who has an encounter with that Galaxy Far, Far Away. This canyon is the exact location of the original scene where R2D2 in stalked and later captured by the Jawas on Tatooine. Those with a keen eye will notice many of the shots from the original movie that we recreated for this music video.

The music is the "Little People" theme from "Star Wars: Episode Four - A New Hope" arranged for euphoniums, tubas and piano, performed by me.
